The China-born artist’s mother is a musician and art collector, and it was his mother’s aesthetic influence that made Wallis sensitive to art and jewellery from an early age.
Wallis studied sculpture and painting at the Madrid Academy of Art. As a perfectionist by temperament, he always seeks to learn as many jewellery making skills as he is able to, from the very best master jewellers around the world, in his aim to perfect the structures of his jewellery creations.
Wallis’s work is miniature sculpture and explores diverse materials and many different fields of craftsmanship. His creativity is inspired by nature, marine life, religion, mythology, and more.
Wallis was discoverd by the organizer of GemGenève and invited to exibit in November 2022. As a result of his debut worldwide, He was immediatly invited to speak at a conference at Vicenza Oro in January 2023 (Italy’s big goldsmiths’s fair) — the first Asian creator to speak there in the fair’s 70-year history.
Wallis’s speaking credits include The Shenzhen Jewellery Museum(2023), Milano Jewellery Week(2023), Roma jewellery week(2023), China Fashion Gala(2023), Shenzhen Gold and Silver Jewelry Association(China 2023), Zodiac Design competition (China2023), and many others authoritative organizations around the world.
In late 2022, his iconic creations, 《Thorn shells》earrings, were added to the permanent collection of the Shenzhen Jewellery Museum in China.
Wallis’s otherworldly imagination and dynamic curiosity are signatures of his creative talent, and his work has been praised by the international museum curatorial community and high jewelry events, as well as celebrities who appreciate innovative high jewelry.
